Education for Girls in Nepal

२०६८ पुस १८ गते, सोमवार ०६:३९:३३ बजे

In the twenty-first century, in Nepalese context women are still in the chains of discrimination. For the development of country male and female play vital role. To make equal contributions to the country both should be treated and education on equal footing. An educated girl grows up into an educated mother. Likewise an educated mother can educate the whole family. If every family member is educated, the whole nation is educated.

There are some developing countries like Nepal; women do not have any dominant role in the family and society. They have to depend on their husband and family. Their main jobs are cooking, washing and other household activities. An educated mother can earn money and take decision about her household activities. She can manage her home in a better way. Now educated males have realized this truth and encourage girls to go to school and colleges. It has increased the female literacy rate. If we go forward I think one day the female literacy will be cent percent.

In traditional society people think women as a weaker sex. Women don't have leading role in decision making. If we look at world's history, women take part in dominate role and power for example, Sir-Lanka has been ruled by women as a prime minister. Pasang Lhamu Shrepa was the first women from Nepal to step on the top of Mr. Everest. There are many women rulers in the world who are in the supreme post of their country. But in some remote area the number of school going girls are very low. When we ask people to send their daughter to school, they say that they do not have enough money to buy books and pencils.

In order to educate women, the government should grant some financial support to girl's education, the number of school going girls in remote area are still too low, therefore  free education including text books will encourage them to go to school and college. By increasing awareness to people, we can increase the rate of girl's education.
